RSPCA Queensland wrapped 2025: Your compassion, on repeat

Animals Animal Welfare Animal Cruelty Posted Dec 19, 2025
Take a look back at the moments, milestones and lifesaving work you helped make possible this year.

Spoiler alert: it's one we're incredibly proud of.

Most-played track: helping animals

This year, 42,818 animals turned to RSPCA Queensland for help and you were right there with us.

From dumped puppies to injured wildlife, every rescue tells a story of your compassion in action!

That’s a lot of lives changed – and it simply wouldn’t happen without our community behind us.

Voices on repeat: advocacy that drives change

Sometimes spinning a message on repeat helps to drive change, and this year you stood with us to give animals a voice.

In 2025, we continued our advocacy work to drive long-term change for animals, using evidence, collaboration and community support to influence the issues that matter most.

Some standout moments:

  • Shining a spotlight on the impact of deforestation on native animals, including koalas like Maximus
  • Advocating for improvements to the Breeder Identification Number system to help curb puppy farming
  • Speaking out against lethal shark control measures, while supporting effective, non-lethal alternatives
  • Launching our Queensland election scorecard, helping voters understand where parties stood on key animal welfare issues
Top genre: wildlife care

Summer brought another challenging season of paralysis syndrome, stretching our teams and resources, but care never stopped for our lorikeets and flying foxes.

Top collaborators: our people, volunteers and supporters

If there’s one thing this year reinforced, it’s that impact is a team effort.

  • 3,140 volunteers donated an incredible 328,891 hours of their time.
  • 71,882KGS of Op Shop donations were saved from landfill this year. That’s a dozen African elephants!
  • 57,513 kind donors were our top RSPCA Queensland fans!
Hidden gems: supporting people and their pets

Some of the most meaningful moments don’t always make headlines – but they matter deeply.

  • 166 pets were kept safe through our Pets in Crisis program, supporting people escaping domestic and family violence
  • 565 pets received care and support through our Community Outreach – People and Pets program

Because helping animals also means supporting the people who love them.

Our year, summed up

If we had to describe RSPCA Queensland 2025 Wrapped in a few words?

Impact that lasts through compassion and community.

Every rescue, adoption, investigation or donation reflects something bigger – a shared commitment to creating a kinder future for all animals across Queensland.
